Multi-national technology service provider, Telent used the innovative Dams Adapt II Bench Desk System to help create their new vibrant workplace environment in Chorley, Lancashire.

Telent’s offices needed a complete refit and they wanted a furniture supplier who they could rely on to deliver an office space that improved communication and encouraged collaborative working. Dams’ customer CCS Media supplies computer equipment to Telent and were invited to take part in the tender process for the new office furniture. Dan Burton at CCS Media had no hesitation in contacting Dams to work together on the project, which resulted in a successful product proposal and a winning bid to undertake the complete office fit-out.
The central point to any workspace is the desk, and choosing the right desk is important to ensure the user is not only comfortable but that their needs are met with ease. Telent opted for the modern Adapt II bench desk system (designed and manufactured by Dams) as standard furniture in their offices as it provided the functionality and modern feel that they were searching for, whilst meeting their demanding budget.
Adapt II is Dams’ vision for systems furniture in the contemporary office. Offering a new, flexible approach to office furniture design, it is perfect for matching desking with meeting table and even executive desk design for the totally integrated look.
Comprising a sturdy steel subframe and bench tops which take on a floating appearance, Adapt II offers a clean and minimal look to the workplace. Desk legs can be shared, making it an aesthetically pleasing, cost effective and practical system for high density office spaces, and the sliding top options allows for easy cable management from above the desk whilst still satisfying the demands of a busy organisation.
The Adapt II desks were finished in minimalist white with a silver subframe, complemented with desk mounted screens which were upholstered in a silver fabric to divide the individual workspaces and steel pedestals, also in matching silver, to provide the necessary storage
These days it is not uncommon for people to sit for 8 or 9 hours a day at their desks without regular breaks, so the durability and comfort of the office chairs was also a key decision for Telent. Dams proposed our Altino high back mesh operators chair with its clean, modern styling, multi-functional ergonomic design and breathable slimline mesh back to keep users cool and comfortable, which was a perfect fit.
Dams provided the complete project management service in conjunction with CCS Media, including space planning, manufacturing, delivery and installation, supplying 106 Adapt II bench desks in multiple configurations, fitted screens, pedestals and office chairs to carry out a complete refit of Telent’s office interior and meeting rooms.
